Hera 2 Vaporizer Mouthpiece

At a first glance the Hera 2 looks like it is a very sleek thin vaporizer that has LED lights that help guide the user through what the device is currently doing. The device uses a USB charging cable, looks to have to airflow holes and touch screen controls to change temperature settings.

New AirVape XS Review – Herbal Vaporizer

The AirVape XS from Apollo has received some solid feedback from existing customers, The AirVape XS is an easy to carry around vaporizer that originally had one major downfall. The mouthpiece sticks out the top which makes it tough for portability as you will risk breaking the mouthpiece when it is attached in your pocket. This problem has now been solved with the new sleek matte like finish durable casing. The casing is made with scratch resistant material and keeps your device dry, clean and safe. Similar to the cases people get for their phones more portable vaporizer companies are releasing protective cases. A vaporizer is something that many people carry on them as much as a cell phone and a case is an inexpensive way to keep your device in optimal condition. Blue Vaporizer - AirVape XS Portable Vape

The AirVape XS comes in a few really nice colors, you can get midnight blue, mystic gray, red gold, and rose gold. There is even a special edition version that looks pretty lick that is black and gold. You can see the special edition model in the image below. It comes with a VIP card that gives you a unique number which you can use to get discounts on various websites as well as free repairs for any situation that may arise.

AirVape XS SE Black Gold Portable Vaporizer

The build qulity for the AirVape XS is above average and is made very durable. The device itself costs $180 but compares to other devices that cost in the $280 price range. The mouthpiece is glass which helps to give a cooled down hit, the outer shell of the vaporizer feels like a metal and also seems very scratch resistant. The feel you get when holding the AirVape is smooth and soft on the fingers, very nice to hold. The oven that holds the herb (the oven chamber) is ceramic. The mouthpiece contains a silicon ring around it which helps to keep the mouthpiece in place nice and snug. The airflow does not really come into contact with this silicon ring so the airflow is really all ceramic. Before going through the glass mouthpiece their is an additional stainless steel screen that adds an extra filter before the vapor enters into your body.

The design of the new AirVape XS is well put together. The air stays clean by going around any electronics with the ventilation holes built into the portable vaporizer. Taking a look at the oven of the AirVape XS, it is a kind of hybrid vape that uses conduction and convection concepts by allowing hot air to flow up before directly touching the material as well as using ceramic walls to help heat through touch.

New AirVape XS Review

Hybrid Convection Conduction Vaporizer

The hybrid heating design will work well with most vape users. Conduction vapes allow you to take a shorter draw and still get an initial good hit while the convection effect will not use up your material to fast and also not when your not taking a draw as much. The convection effect allows you to tke longer draws and more spaced out draws while still getting good flavor.

The size and shape of the AirVape XS is right in the money spot, its not to big and not to small. The slimmer bottom half compared to the wider top half makes it easy to hold and fun to play with. The wider top half allows for a bigger oven and works really well with the protective carrying case. The oven is not huge but it is a good size to help conserve your dry herbs a bit more. A good temperature to use with the AirVape XS to get clouds and flavor is around the 350 to 380 temperature level. With the oven being a bit smaller then some of the other vaporizers you will want to grind your material fairly fine. This will allow the hot airflow to heat more evenly and get nice draws. The oven holds about .2 to .25 when your packing it full, which for many will be a good amount for others, they may need to pack it two or more times throughout the course of a session. Which is fine, but if your traveling you will also need to bring a packed grinder with you. If you are looking for a quick session, than the AirVape XS also works well with a moderately ground up oven load. You can grind your material not as fine as suggested above but still pack it to the top, this will allow you to perform a quick session while still getting the most out of your material.

Pink Vaporizer - Portable Small Pink Vaporizer for Dry Herbs

AirVape XS Review Continued

The AirVape portable vaporizer's mouthpiece is really the only part of the device on the outside that will get dirty or build up residue. They have made this super easy to clean and the glass mouthpiece can just be tugged a bit to be separated from the bottom half of the mouthpiece. To clean it you just need to shake it up in some ISO for a few minutes and it will be god as new. You should typically clean your mouthpiece after every few sessions to stay fresh and no your getting the cleanest hit possible. The bottom part of the mouthpiece is pretty cool and works well to deliver clean fitered vapor. The metal screen is accompanied by a second metal airflow that you can open up to see yet another airflow filter section. All these pieces fit nicely together but are also easy to be cleaned to keep the AirVape XS in great condition. To keep this mouthpiece clean and so it does not jam the airflow you can take it off and quickly wipe it or brush it after a session or two, or a quick blow to the bottom after your session will help to keep in clear as well. But every 10 sessions or so you will want to swish it around in some ISO cleaning solution.

The battery that comes with the new AirVape XS is a 1300mAh battery which is a bit smaller than some of the other premium vaporizers. Even still you will get about 35 to 45 minutes of actual usage which is pretty good. It's pretty simple to plug it into your laptop or other USB charging dock to charge it again. If you are going camping you may want to bring a portable battery charging pack to give it some extra juice. When trying to concerve the battery life of the AirVape XS you will typically want to use the device at a lower temperature a bit closer to the 300 mark. If you use it up at 400 to produce bigger clouds than you will only get about 30 minutes of usage on a single charge. The smaller battery does have its advantages, you can fully charge it again by taking less juice from a portable battery, and also the device charges pretty quickly, in just over an hour you will get a full charge using a simple USB charging cable.

AirVape XS Safety Features - Auto Shutdown and Vibration Notifications

A safety feature built into the AirVape XS is an automatic shutdown time. This helps to conserve your material as well as keep the device safe in your pocket if you accidentally turn it on or forget to power it down. You can set the automatic shut down time from 1 minute to 5 minutes. A cool feature that this device has that not to many have yet, but is slowly getting more popular is vibration notifications. So when you turn the device on by hitting the power button 3 times, it will begin to heat up. When it reaches the temperature that you have set (or 365) it will vibrate letting you know it has reached the desired temperature. You are able to change through the temperatures by pressing the up and down arrows which will allow you to change the temperature in increments of 1 degree. On the display screen you can see the amount of battery you have left, you can see the time you have left in the session before the automatic shut off, there is a spinning fan letting you know the device is running, and also the current temperature that it is set to. When you press the up and down buttons or lay with any of the settings the device is fast to respond and very user friendly. When the AirVape XS auto shuts off it will again vibrate letting you know the session has expired. This will allow you to quickly start a new session to keep your materials ready to vape.

AirVape Review - XS Vaporizer for Dry Herbs

With the new AirVape XS you get a manufacturers lifetime warranty on the electronics and things that could be defective. The battery appears to be pretty good an not degrading to quickly. Like all batteries they begin to dip after serious extended use. The AirVape XS even after a year of solid use still delivers good usage times. If your battery does begin to dip after a while, the company does offer a battery replacement for just $40. This is a good extra perk that many vape companies do not offer.

Overall the AirVape XS is a solid little vape to buy, it looks cool its go some nice designs o the device itself. The price is right for this unit and the flavor and vapor you get is pretty good. If you do end up buying one of these you should strongly consider getting the new case to make it easier to travel with and give you some piece of mind that its in good hands. You can grab one of these here from the official site. Thanks for reading our AirVape XS review.

Starry Vaporizer by X Max – New Vape Review

The new portable dry herb vaporizer from X Max Vaporizers has been recently released. The new dry herb device is called 'Starry' and is the smallest vaporizer the company has released to date. The Starry vaporizer by X Max looks as if it is a cross between a few of the industries top vaporizers, at first glance it looks similar to the PAX, DaVinci IQ, and Crafty portable vaporizers. Here we will take a closer look at the Starry and go over the product specs.

Starry Vaporizer by X Max

Starry Vape - Quick Answer... Is it worth it?

To quickly sum this product up if you are in a hurry.. The Starry by X Max is a great little device that has an extremely low price point for the quality and features that it packs into its compact size. The Starry is a device that compares to other portable vaporizers that cost twice as much. If your looking for a new vape or even your first ever vape this is a good unit to start with. You can order one here.

X Max Vaporizer Starry New

Materials, Look and Feel of the Starry Portable Herbal Vaporizer

The Starry Vaporizer by X Max is made with an anodized aluminum shell and has a ceramic mouthpiece that is designed with magnets to allow for quick and easy loading of the oven. The oven is also made with ceramic. The overall feel of the Starry vape is a feeling of a quality made product. The oven size is 0.17 grams, and if you pack it a bit tighter you can put in about .3 grams.

Starry Vaporizer Temperature Options and Heat Up Speed

Although not as fast as the more premium vaporizer such as the PAX 3 and DaVinci IQ the Starry still heats up relatively fast. It will heat up to a good vaping temperature after about 15 to 20 seconds and will reach maximum temperature just after the 30 second mark. The temperature control gives you a range between 212° - 464° F / 100° - 240° C to work with.

Battery for the Starry Portable Vaporizer

The new Starry Vaporizer by X Max is powered by a replaceable and rechargeable Samsung 2500 mAh battery (18650 battery) which you can remove from the bottom of the device (shown in the image below). To save your battery the Starry has been built with automatic shut off settings where you can chose between 5 minutes and 10 minutes. This will make sure that you don't leave your device on and drain your battery for your next use. Having the option to carry extra batteries means that you can bring as much power as you like on something like a camping trip where plugging into power may not be an option. Both internal batteries and replaceable batteries have there pros and cons, but the option to replace a battery means that your device can live longer than the battery that runs it.

The battery has enough power when completely charged to vape continuously for about 70 minutes. This is quite along time and if you are vaping for over an hour each day than you may want to get an extra battery since you will be able to continue using your device while one is being charged.

Starry Vaporizer

For $119, this thing is feature rich! The Starry’s feature set included full digital temperature control, the option to choose between 5 and 10 minutes for the auto-shutoff timer, and a magnetic lid that stays put in the pocket and even sticks to the vape while you’re loading it. The mouthpiece is made of ceramic zirconia which doesn’t add any off-flavors and has a nice feel on the lips.

What you get in the Starry Vape Package

Here is what comes in the Starry vaporizer kit - The unit itself, the 2500 mAh battery, a wax cup, a cleaning set, a ceramic screen for the chamber, and a user manual.

Starry Portable Herbal Vaporizer

Is the Starry Vaporizer by X Max a Good Vaporizer to Buy

There are a lot of portable dry herb vaporizers that cost a lot more than $119 that have far less functionality that the Starry vaporizer. The low cost and the quality you get with the Starry vaporizer, with temperature range settings, and a replaceable battery you really can't complain. The device works well and has a mouthpiece that helps to cool down the vapor it produces before hitting your mouth. The biggest factor weighing in is definitely the cost of the Starry Vaporizer by X Max and knowing that the product is made by a already successful vaporizer company.
