The showdown continues between two of the vaporizer industries greatest rivals! The Crafty Plus and Pax 3 portable vaporizers are the two products that cannabis handheld vaporizer users most commonly use.
This article will help to identify all the differences between the two portable vaporizers and help you to decide which one is the best option for you.
Pax 3 versus the Crafty Plus Vaporizer: comparison chart
The Pax 3
- Heating Conduction
- App – yes
- Presets 4
- Battery 45 Minutes
- Temp 182-215C
The Crafty Plus
- Heating Convectional and conduction
- App – yes
- Presets 2
- Battery 1-1.5 Hours
- Temp 170-215C
Both the Pax 3 and the Crafty plus have apps that you can download to your phone for additional features and more control over your vaping sessions. Both devices have the option to vaporize both dry herbs and concentrates.
Which is better?
The Pax 3 is much faster to heat up to vaping temperature than the Crafty plus. This is due to the fact that the Pax 3 is a conduction vaporizer which uses surface heat to heat the cannabis herbs. The Crafty plus is a conduction/convection hybrid which uses a mixture of forced hot air with some surface heat transfer to heat the cannabis herbs.
A reason that the Crafty is said to be better than the Pax 3 is because of the convection heating method. When forced air is used instead of surface temperature to heat the cannabis, there is less tar and carcinogens that will be generated that can end up inside the human body.
Coming from a seasoned vaporizer user, I would have to lean towards the Crafty Plus as being a better all round portable cannabis vaporizer. The sessions do take a bit longer to get going, but the flavour the Crafty Plus delivers from the convection heating style is better in my opinion then the Pax 3 vapor.
